We are all angry about something. But sometimes, we find it difficult to let those emotions out. In VPRO’s new series BOLLOX, Merel Pauw embarks on a mission to help kids express their emotions through punk rock music. Each child teams up with an underground rock band to write the perfect lyrics to let all their anger out.
Can we make it punk?
VPRO approached us with the task of making their new series even more epic. They wanted us to take the punk aspect of the show and push it to the next level. We blended VFX with 2D animation to truly capture the raw edge of the series.
Creating an unique vibe.
We wanted every performance to reach its full potential. Our goal was to showcase the raw and messy side that punk is known for. Each performance was covered in hundreds of hand-drawn scribbles, with its own unique vibe and style of animation.
